I don't like this product at all. I have average-sized hands for a female, but this mouse was either made for children, or for quadruple-jointed hands. Very uncomfortable for me. I tried the smaller version, and exchanged for the bigger one, and they both felt like the same size! Too small and a very weird feel to it. If anything, it made my wrists hurt more, not less, using these two. Not a horrible product - just not right for me. My suggestion - find a store to try it out first, because buying it online could be a huge mistake. It was for me.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and using the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 has helped me tremendously, my wrist no longer hurt nor do my fingers tingle when using my PC. My next purchase will be the Kinesis Freestyle Split Keyboard. I am doing all I can to prevent surgery, and it's helping.

Just received the mouse and the thoughts so far. I use AUTOCAD for drafting and require lots of precise movements.
- The driver disk is one of those "mini" CD disks. If you have a "feed type" DVD reader that can't accept mini CD, then you'll have to download your drivers from the site.
- The software seems to work fine with the ability to assign all the keys which is nice. I have a Windows 7 (32 Bit) machine.
- The rotated hand position works great on wrist strain. Takes a little getting used to clicking with your wrist turned, but I think it will do fine.
- The mouse was lighter than I expected, but very slick. It is hard to lift the mouse which will either slip out of your hand or cause you to press the click buttons. I have put some friction tape on it to try to get some grip, but might epoxy a grip or something so the mouse can be supported by your middle or ring finger when lifting. If the maker added ridges so your fingers can grip the mouse (rather than slip), it would be perfect. The best way to hold the mouse right now is to place your thumb below the thumb notch as you can now get a good grip on the unit, though this defeats the design to be able to reach button 5 and 6.
- The precision seems pretty good and being able to click on buttons or do CAD drafting is easy to get used to.
